Responsibilities include:​​​

Executing opening duties for kitchen and kitchen equipment with independence

Maintaining proper pars and stock of needed items

Preparing foods for all services as directed

Executing brunch and dinner service
-
Receiving orders and storing food/goods properly
-
Maintaining proper working conditions of food storage areas

Participating as needed for onsite events and pool service when applicable

1-2 years cooking experience desired

Availability for nights and weekends

Availability for most major holidays

SOUS CHEF BUTTERFIELD

Job Title: Sous Chef | Full-time
Start Date: Immediately
​
The ideal candidate is responsible, timely and can work with minimal oversight to achieve goals and standards. A positive attitude and good work ethic are a must. A love for historic properties in bucolic settings is a huge plus!
​
Responsibilities include:​​​

Training of all back of house employees
-
Training of front of house staff on food and food presentatio
-
Oversight and active cleanliness of all back of house areas: kitchen, basement, exterior, smokehouse, Butcher and Bar and all areas where food is present.
-
Sanitation standards to meet or exceed local health regulations
-
Preparation and execution of all menu items for all scheduled services
-
Creation of menu, including coherent food and cuisine philosophy
-
Weekly Inventory
-
Food purchasing and receiving; bar supplies as per requests made by Head Bartender.
-
Maintaining a positive, healthy and professional kitchen environment.
-
Collecting and organizing all invoices and receipts for purchases.
-
Food costing of individual menu items
-
Establishing and creating relationships with local farmers
-
Adherence to budgets (labor and food cost) based upon projections
-
Development of menus for special events including but not limited to: wine-paired dinners, corporate retreats, pool service, room service, to-go packs and buyouts in conjunction with the General Manager
-
Oversight of all food preparation and sanitation on the Hasbrouck House property.
Requirements:

1-2 years kitchen leadership experience required
-
Ability to lift 50 lbs
-
Ability to stand on feet for long durations
-
Availability for nights, weekends and most major holidays

The ideal candidate should be hospitality minded and should share our love of creating exceptional guest experiences. Excellent service skills, dependability and a positive attitude are a must. A love for historic properties in bucolic settings is a huge plus!
Requirements:

1-2 years previous experience is preferred, but we are ready and willing to train a person who is willing to learn.

Availability for most major holidays and weekends

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Setting up events furniture, rentals and product

Setting up table settings, as well as settings for stationary food and beverage service, sanitation and bars

Providing outstanding hospitality to our guests
